Hello Pop, It was only yesterday that we said goodbye to you and we miss you so much. It feels like you have gone on vacation, and that you will be back, and we are waiting for you to return. The farm is still vibrating your energy, and I don`t think your energy will ever disappear. The farm is all you, and with jan`s love for you and your home it will continue. I look at the cows, the paddocks, the hills and tree`s, and all I see is you. I just want to say it was an enormous privilege knowing you and Janet in my life, and you both are really beautiful people. I wish you could be here. In love and light.Charles, Danah & Oliver

I forget his history other than that he was Mgr George & Hunter Sts and later was my No. 2 Manager when I was in Sydney Office. He retired to Dungog about 25 years ago to the family property.”
  • Gordon Mills indicated he had been a Manager, Head Office before becoming Principal of Fernleigh Castle although he was not an academic. He had found him to be a great straight shooter who was practical in his approach. Gordon was not surprised he retired back to Dungog, where he became President of the Dungog Historical Society.

I have just joined CBC Officers Club (as I was prompted to look for a site when Bob died!). I worked with Bob at CBC 343 George Street Managers Dept & he was always a great character and full of fun. I moved back to Dungog in 1990 (also my home town) & was reacquainted with Bob – did lots of reminiscing of our Sydney days!
I thought it may be fitting to place his notice on the website to let others know.
