Our Beautiful Sister in Law Betty.
I think I first met Betty in 1964 when Brother Jack and I landed in Melbourne on the start of our Overseas Trip. Mum and Dad had driven over, and Ted took us to dinner at the Southern Cross introducing us to Betty.
Ted and Betty were married in 1965 whilst we were overseas.
On my return to Australia I met Yvonne and we first visited Ted and Betty in Blackburn. Betty was then and remained a wonderful host throughout the 60 years that followed when we visited and stayed with them – in Dee Why , Neville and finally Orange after Ted Passed.
Our most beautiful times were in Neville where we visited frequently. Any trip we made to the Eastern States always included a visit to Neville , often detouring considerably to get there.
Yvonne and I ,and then Damien were truly Blessed with Betty’s love care and generosity . Nothing was ever too much trouble in making our stays memorable. We watched Damien spend many special days with Mark and Rex growing up, and their relationship today is very largely due to the time and effort that Betty put into them all.
Betty was always a Quiet achiever ,and we were able to share in her love of Birds , Nature and then of course her precious grandchildren .She was a great cook and meticulous in the running of her house. Life was not always easy for her and she bore many things with grace and compassion.
Yvonne and I developed a special bond with Betty, and our contact with her was frequent , except perhaps the last twelve months.
    We will miss her.
Our Love and thoughts go out to Mark, Rex and Families at their sad loss of their Beautiful Mother and Grandmother and we know she will be watching over them.
Peace and No Pain at last Betty. We love you!!
