BORN DEC 10 1912 DIED 28/11/1981 our mother (Ron & Harry) and Cecils wife knew plenty of adversity and in another era kinder to women deserved to make a mark .
Depression and War were met with tenacity and strength and pure grit.
Schooling was haphazard and meant walking home miles carrying a load .
As the eldest girl in a large family there weren`t any opportunities as we know them today, but she astounded me (Harry) one day by reciting the Alphabet backwards .
What might have been however is diminished as the actuality was more than sufficient to us .
I hope one day that a young girl in a country location can gift to her memory the life and achievements of the daughter she never hadd
