Relatives and friends were warmly invited to attend the Celebration of SOAPY`s life, at Newcastle Memorial Park, Anderson Drive Beresfield, on Wednesday 9.5.2012 which commenced at 11am.
“Gone Fishing”
Paul Wurth and Noel (Tobey) Price invented the nickname `soapy` for Les when they worked together at Turton`s brick and tile at East Maitland.
The nic name came from sandsoap in 1955.
