RIMOLDI, Maxwell Roy (Max)

Maxwell Roy (Max) RIMOLDI

1937 – 2012.

Beloved husband of Mareva. Much loved father of Brian (deceased), Alexander and Deborah. Brother-in-law of Boga and Ray and uncle to their children.

Aged 75 Years

Family and friends were invited to attend the Funeral Service for MAX held in the West Chapel, Northern Suburbs Crematorium, Delhi Road, North Ryde on Tuesday (June 19, 2012) at 11.00am.

I was one of Max’s students at the University of Auckland. He was a wonderful lecturer and a great support to me intellectually. His commitment to critical thinking instilled in me a way of looking at the world and approaching anthropological research. I have thought of him often since I last saw him a few years ago, and am about to sit my PhD oral on Friday (29th of June) and credit him in no small way with defining me as an anthropologist and the PhD thesis I have just produced. His legacy as an anthropologist is borne out in the way I put my thesis together, and I will remember him with gratitude and affection when I defend my thesis.

Best wishes Mareva and Debra at this time, mine and my families thoughts are with you.

Lots of love,

Jane Horan
