Ian Charles “Poppa Smurf” Harris
Passed away 25th March 2013
Aged 62 years
Beloved son of Rolland (dec) and Eileen.
Very much loved Brother of Geoffrey, Twin brother Clive, Bubby John (dec), Neil, Cheryle and Wendy.
Ian’s celebration of life was held at Reflections Chapel, 36A Glendale Drive, Glendale on Wednesday 3/4/2013.

It took Ian quite a while to “trust” me. I was able to trim his beard “&” quite long hair after such a time. Seeing his photo reminded me of this time and it has made me sad that I can never again trim him beard and hear him say “Roger” in a voice that I know to be his.
Life is too short. We are so fortunate to have people come into our lives, even for such a short time, but make such an impact – it leave a “dent”!
This “dent”, I will carry forever as it belongs to Ian. I can`t believe I am still grieving. Perhaps I will grieve for more time to come. But I know as memories go I have some of the best there is as I was blessed to know and be part of his life. To this I say “thank you”. I just wish I could have done MORE. Instead I did less. For this I will have to live with. Perhaps a lesson to learn and carry through – DO MORE not less. SAY MORE not less. BE MORE not less.
We have but one chance – its out there. Let`s all learn together. Christ you`ll be – and are – missed. Past tense is still an issue.
