You will be missed by many and all who crossed your path over the years. I really hope they have low freezers in heaven the good lord does not need to see your bottom.

  4. My dear friend, you will be missed so much. Although we only met in person a few times (in Lincoln the first time, and for Jake’s Christening the next), we have been in constant email – and Scrabble – contact for over 25 years, sharing our hopes and dreams, being a sounding board for each other, and finding things to laugh at.

We continued that contact through good and bad times in each of our lives and I will miss you for that, and for your crazy sense of humour.

    Sleep well, my friend. xx

Dear Ed, Jake and family members. Please accept my deepest condolences. Gena became a good friend to me over the years. Such a supportive person, especially when my beloved Marina passed in 2020. I will always be grateful. Upon reflection, due to my life abroad, l think we met in person only three times – at the wedding in Tassie, then twice in England, before and at Jake’s christening. But her lively online conversations, always characterized by warmth and humour, gave the distinct impression of her ‘being in the room’. I am sorry l cannot join you in person for the final send off, but hope to join via live stream, as long as the internet connection here in Africa allows. I am praying for her, and for you. May her memory be eternal.
