My fondest memories of aunty Merlie was the love she showed me and the mother the will be with me always . Merlie showed me courage and how to look and guide my own children through out their lives . The time in Bunn Street where Merle had painted a dressing table and pinned light purple nylon material around it , when we lived at Bar Beach on top of the chemist, my gingham swimmers and greg taking me up for a swim at the beach while she got things done .
Merlie used to drive for Allens,s dry cleaning and pick me up from school on a friday and take me back on Monday . She loved going to housey with her mum and sister and i remember this one time she promised if i win i,m going to get those white boots for you to go with the hot pants i got made for you and ,of course she won and up she was with the boots , me parading around like you wouldn`t believe .
We lived in many places but she always made it home and her door always open . Merlies love for MaMa , Mavis and Greg and myself never went unnoticed. Love ……..Shareen xxxxoo
