ADAMS, Edna Joyce

Edna Joyce ADAMS (Sister M Sylvester).
January 24, 2012, at Maitland Hospital.
Aged 85 years.

Beloved daughter of John and Fanny May (both deceased) and sister of Florence, Ruby, Gladys and Harry (all deceased).
Aunt to many nieces and nephews and their families who enjoyed a close and loving relationship with her. Lovingly remembered also by the Gleeson family of Narrabri who became a second beloved family of Joyce.

Sister Joyce was a much loved member of the Dominican Sisters for over sixty years. With great dedication and quiet influence she taught in schools, often in the position of principal. After retiring from this ministry Sister Joyce became a pastoral presence in the parishes of Broken Hill and Tingha also ministering for three years among the people of the Solomon Islands.

May she rest in peace.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Sister Joyce Adams OP will be offered in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Campbells Hill on Tuesday (January 31, 2012), at 11 a.m.
The Rite of Committal will follow at East Maitland Catholic Cemetery.
